Who are you?
My name is Marie
Mortensen. I live in Denmark, and I work part time as an
artist/designer. Besides that, I also do freelance projects
- writing articles and drawing. My latest venture was a "how
to draw" book which I made with a friend and collegue.
Whenever I find the time, I work on Tales Untold and strive
to deliver regular updates on this site. I also write
various stories in my sparetime. My personal website has a bunch of boring facts about
me.
Where is Tales Untold
supposed to take place?
In Denmark. I assume
the story is located in Copenhagen (capital of Denmark) and
in the suburban areas around it. So why is everyone speaking
English? Well, otherwise my "foreign" readers wouldn't be
able to understand it, would they?
Can I draw fanart/make a
fanfic for you?
Please do! And I
would love to see what you come up with. You can e-mail it
to me or leave a note in the guestbook or the LJ. I love
getting feedback and fanworks is one of the greatest kind of
feedback, in my opnion.
Will you draw something
for me?
Probably not. I'm sorry, but I am too busy with my various
projects to hand out drawings to everyone who asks. You're
welcome to suggest motives for drawings to me, but I can't
make any promises. Commissions are a different issue,
because they help paying the bills. Contact me if you're
interested. :-)
What's with the donation
button? Do I have to pay to read TUT?
No, don't worry - you don't have to pay a thing. TUT is free
for all to read. Donations help me pay for the website and
possibly banner ads on other sites somewhen in the future.
And as a bonus, there will be extra pages at the time of the
weekly update when I have received more than 5 dollars (as
stated on the main page).
Can I use your
comic/drawings/characters on my website/etc?
I don't know. It entirely depends on what kind of use you
are thinking about. But if you ask nicely, chances are I
will say yes and even link to you. If you don't ask ...
well, that's breaking my copyright and not a nice thing to
do, so please don't.
Why don't you publish TUT
for real?
It's not good enough. I have learnt a lot working on TUT,
and the first chapters are not anything near the page
quality I produce now. I may do prints of the webcomic, but
ultimately, TUT in this shape is just that - a
webcomic.
What's going to happen in
TUT in the future?
I'm sorry, but I don't do spoilers. I will hint a few things
as you've undoubtedly discovered if you've taken a look in
the art gallery. But beware! Some pictures which you may
think are clues really aren't. That's just me fooling
around.
How long is TUT going to
be?
I haven't the foggiest. I've changed the pacing a lot from
when I first started, but I think it's safe to say TUT will
be several hundred pages long. Probably more than that. It's
a really long story ... I know roughly where it's going, and
I have lots of script to work with, but some of the details
aren't worked out yet.
Shouldn't it be
TU?
Yes, but TUT sounds so much better. :-)
